At The Childrens Bookstore we attempt to bring new ideas to the traditional Christian books for children format. While it is true many of our stories find inspiration from parables of the bible, it is equally true that all of the spiritual themes expressed in our books are completely non-denominational. For example in “The Midget Green Swamp Moose” the characters have been raised according to the strict Southern Baptist ideals common to their place and era. But the central character expresses the books theme that God sends laughter as relief for pain and struggle.

There are countless wonderful bible stories for children in print. Because of this we do not at the present time list these for sale on our site. We do offer books with powerful inspirational themes, many of which are taken from stories in the Bible. Our stories focus on the wonder of the universe with God as the ultimate creator of that universe. In our young adult novel “The Midget Green Swamp Moose” the Bible figures prominently in the story and the lives of the characters. Indeed one could easily find the influence of the Bible throughout the book.

While we do not have for sale Bible stories for kids per se, The Childrens Bookstore does provide strong spiritual guidance within all of our titles for sale. One does not have to look and read far into our stories to find the word and will of God expressed. We offer our Biblically driven messages in the form of character’s actions. If a child does not have faith in God in the beginning of one of our books, rest assured that by story’s end he or she will have gained a greater spiritual understanding. Of course our purpose in books with themes such as this is to share that understanding with the hearts of our young readers.

We offer the most delightful childrens books available in the world today. While some of our books center on Christian faith, the greater common them in the books we select for sale is that of God’s hand touching all the universe. With that said, our books are kid’s bible stories in a “His eye is on the sparrow” sort of way. Finding God in any of the Morningside Books and The Childrens Bookstore is a very simple thing to do. In the case of our juvenile novel, “The Midget Green Swamp Moose” a quote from the bible is actually incorporated into the storyline.

We are pleased to be able to state that the books published by Morningside Books and presented here at The Childrens Bookstore are Christian children’s books. All of our titles exude the influence of God as central to their themes. Even in our wildlife series titles, Alligators Can’t Stand Butterflies and Bartram and the Blue Morning Glory, God as the hand rocking the cradle of nature is evident. In “Alligators” the young reader can easily see the wonder of nature as could only be created by a higher power. In “Bartram” the theme of miracles being everywhere is prevalent and shown by the story’s action.
